Alastair & Rebecca got married on Saturday 4th July which was the first day possible after the lockdown restrictions were eased in England. These two had three days to plan their wedding once they got the go ahead from St Anne’s Church in Bagshot on the Thursday(!) They did an excellent job of ensuring everything was organised and that everyone could socially distance. There was hand-san galore, a Church warden in a PPE visor, the ceremony was live streamed over Zoom and they had a distanced picnic in the park afterwards. Minley Manor were incredibly kind and let Alastair & Rebecca use their grounds in the afternoon for a couple shoot. This is where their reception was booked for originally before CV19 hit and I can’t wait to go back there for the big 2021 celebration. An amazing thing happened the day after the wedding. The BBC contacted the couple for an interview and my photos were shown on the BBC news! This year has been tough for weddings and photography but this day and getting on the news made me smile. Olly is fantastic. He has been so flexible during all of the Covid troubles being ready and eager to photograph our wedding in one of the 6 different versions we have had to plan. Given we only got 100% confirmation that our wedding could go ahead on the Thursday night before Saturday 4th July Olly was willing and able to do all he could to support us helping us to be one of the first couples to get married post lockdown! On the day he produced a fantastic set of photographs which we will love and cherish forever. He got some great pictures of our socially distanced wedding which were then used on BBC news such as hand sanitising before signing the register and the zoom streaming of our wedding. We couldn’t recommend Olly enough. He has a fantastic photographers eye for capturing the day and getting lots of fantastically framed photos. He’s booked again for our big wedding celebration next year. Rebecca and I also loved being able to share our day with him and pray together. By the end of it all we have a lovely day top look back on, an incredible set of photos and a new friend.
