Every now and then a wedding comes up that defies convention but totally works! I went to St Albans Church in Wood Street Village, Guildford to photograph Zac & Abi’s ceremony that started at 10am! Zac & Abi both became Christians in recent years and the Church ceremony was really important to them. They had pizzas at midday and then carriages at 4pm. In the back of my mind I was thinking “but no Bride prep, no dancing?! What will the images be like?!” It turns out that these two knew best and the day was jam packed with emotional moments and kids being hilarious. I learnt that Abi competed at the 2012 Olympics representing Team GB in Kayaking. I only found this out from her Dad’s speech! Pretty cool eh?! Zac is the third sibling from the Laker family that I’ve had the honour of photographing at their wedding and I have so much love for that family. Here’s some of my favourite images A huge congrats Zac & Abi!
We watched the slideshow and it’s fantastic! Thank you so much for your amazing work in our photographs – not only are they brilliant quality, but it was even more wonderful getting to spend the day and that walk with you. It really was lovely being able to just hang out and enjoy the forest together. We’d love to catch up again soon if you’re free when we next visit Kent
