Sandeep & Rhean’s English Indian Wedding at Denbies in Surrey
Sandeep & Rhean had one of the most amazing weddings I’ve had the privilege of covering. The had an English wedding during the day and an Indian wedding in the evening. The atmosphere was incredible, there was such celebration all day long. At the beginning of the day Sandeep and his friends turned up to the Church with an Indian drum being played and lots of dancing ensued. Then there was celebration in the Church as Sandeep & Rhean danced out to “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit but the best was saved until the evening party! In the evening Sandeep & Rhean both changed into their Indian wedding clothes and there was a beautiful moment when Sandeep first saw Rhean in her Sari as she came down in a glass elevator to see him. It was like a moment from a film. Then the part well and truly kicked off with a Bangra celebration. People were going wild and Sandeep & his Dad were both paraded on people’s shoulders and both got a go at drumming on the dance floor too. Two things really struck me from the day. Firstly, that Indian weddings can really teach British weddings a thing or two about celebration and dancing. Secondly, I loved the fact that this wedding was such a joining of two families. There were so many hugs and fond words spoken between the families. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Sandeep messaged me after the wedding saying “First off Olly is an absolute legend! We knew we were getting some good photos when we looked at his website but he more than delivered. From first meeting him at his house, to helping us structure the day better, Olly really made us feel valued and it felt like we were friends not just customers. All the photos are brilliant (some even made this groom get emotional) and we were so glad that we could have so many. We can now have these photos as memories for life. Thank you so much Olly and James! Will definitely recommend you to our friends who are getting married. Sandeep and Rhean Manaktala x Ps. We loved the Flash drive.“
