Phil & Karla’s Outdoor Wedding at Winters Barns
Phil & Karla had an outdoor wedding at Winters Barns in Canterbury, Kent in October! The sun was out for most of the day giving amazing Autumnal soft light. Phil & Karla’s getting together story is one of my favourites. Karla clicked on a friend of a friend’s Facebook profile and accidentally hit the “add friend” button. Her computer crashed and by the time it had re-booted she’d seen that this guy Phil (who she’d sent the accidental friend request to) had accepted her add and messaged her to say “Thanks for adding me, I don’t think I know you but let’s get to know each other over a drink”. So they went out for a drink, got together and they are now Husband and Wife! Mark Zuckerberg would be proud. An amazing getting together story led into an amazing wedding day. This wedding had a great buzz to it so it was really fun to capture. The Mareoke video being made (“Get your freak on”) made for some serious moves that deserved to be immortalised forever as photos as well as the video! Jen came to assist me at this wedding and I’ve used a few of her images beneath. I hope you enjoy looking through this selection of my favourite images from the day.
Karla emailed me to say “We had such an amazing day, you and Jen were an absolute pleasure to have at our wedding so thanks for fitting in with the relaxed atmosphere we were hoping for. We received the pics on Phil‘s birthday this week when we arrived home and ended up staying up late to look through them all- great way to end the day! We then had another look through them today on the big screen because there were so many great photos! Just wanted to say thank you so much to you and Jen for doing an amazing job capturing our day- we knew that we wanted our wedding to be one massive fun party and from your photos, it definitely looked like everyone enjoyed it. There are so any photos of people laughing! Thanks for getting the photos to us so quickly after the day, it has meant we can keep reliving it and see all the parts of the day we missed at the time. P&K”
