Knowlton Court Wedding Venue in Kent
Knowlton Court is a beautifully elegant manor house in Knowlton near Canterbury in Kent. The venue can cater for weddings in the main hall which has a chequered floor and knight coats of armour. Couples can also get married in the gazebo outside. There’s so many lovely places for a stroll to get great pictures. The main driveway leading up to the house works well and there are fields to the back. I’m a recommended photographer at Knowlton Court and if you’re getting married there do get in touch for a quote. Fenella (venue owner) said these kind words about me “It is simply a pleasure to look at Olly Knight’s wedding photographs. His ability to capture the human story and frame a moment in time of immeasurable quality is exceptional. He is relaxed, dedicated and without any doubt his work is some of the most exciting I have seen.”
Matt & Kelly’s wedding was a bringing together of Matt and his English family and Kelly and her American family. There was a great atmosphere to this wedding and I’ve never seen a Bride and guests get dancing so quickly in the evening. It was brilliant to see. Enjoy the pictures!
Olly & Katrina had a Christmas wedding at Knowlton Court in Kent in December 2014. There was an impressively large Christmas tree in the great hall and they’d hired in a Piper for the day to play as they walked back down the aisle together. Some of my favourite shots were the flower girl’s reactions when she saw Katrina in her dress. I hope you enjoy looking through the best shots of the day.
I spent the afternoon with Steve, Dawn, their kids, close family and friends who had come from Scotland for this sunny Wednesday wedding in July. I covered the getting ready shots in the Dower house (where the family had been staying for a couple of nights) and in the main building (where Dawn got ready). After their outdoor ceremony there was a chance for mingling and pictures. The kids were rolling down the grass banks as the adults had a drink on the lawn. I took Steve and Dawn out for a wander round the grounds and Steve’s Daughter came with us and took some shots of them on my other camera (she’s studying photography and was interested to see what happened!) Then it was back to Dower House for a BBQ. It was the first wedding where I sat next to the Bride for the sit down meal (Dawn offered!)
For Karl & Jo’s wedding despite it being a December wedding we still managed to venture outside and enjoy the sun (although it was quite chilly!) Karl & Jo had a string section playing during the ceremony and the drinks reception. This fitted in so well with the elegance of the venue and the decorations. As a venue I really enjoyed photographing at Knowlton Court and I’m back there for another two weddings in 2014. I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures.
