I went to photograph The Kent Young Chef of the Year 2014 at East Kent College in Broadstairs. The competition was run by “Produced in Kent” and featured top chefs as judges including Richard Phillips who often appears on Saturday Kitchen and other TV programmes. Priya won the Senior category with her Venison dish and Jack won the Junior category with his dish of Kentish Rabbit wrapped in Pancetta with Sweet Potato Mash and a Kingswood Cider reduction. His age? 11! I didn’t even know what those ingredients were at his age let alone be able to cook them! The day was very Inspiring. Here are some of my highlights from the day.
