Kent Life Wedding Venue in Maidstone
I’m a recommended photographer for Kent Life. This venue has been one of my most popular wedding venues of the last couple of years. Kent Life is a working farm and tourist destination and includes buildings that were once Chapels and Village Halls from around Kent that were re built on site! I think couples choose Kent Life to get married at because it’s a nice relaxed setting.
There are great places to wander around outside including views overlooking fields, an Oasthouse, a traditional red telephone box and if it’s bad weather there are also stairs inside the Oasthosue that work well for photos. If you’re interested in having your wedding at Kent Life and would like me to photograph your wedding please get in touch by phone or email and we can chat about your day and I can give you a quote. Doug (with kilt!) and Becky got married in the village hall at Kent Life. We went out for a stroll in the evening and as we were walking down a path lots of pigs approached us and proceeded to scratch themselves against the fence, we had to run away from the cloud of dust that followed!! My favourite part of the day was Doug & Becky’s first dance. This was far removed from the normal sway that first dances tend to be. These guys had lessons and tuition for several months in order to make it a really memorable part of the day. The dance turned into a jive and all their guests were applauding and cheering them on. It was great! Becky emailed me to say “Olly, the pictures are brilliant. Some amazing moments captured that tell a whole story by themselves. The natural reactions of everyone are so lovely – even those with their heads in their hands while my Dad was making his speech – hilarious. The smiles, the laughter, the concentration, the emotion, all captured. Some wonderful pictures of my husband and I which we will treasure forever.”
Tom & Carly got married at Kent Life on a very hot Saturday in July! They got to race pigs against each other and compete in a massive tug of war competition! Carly emailed me these words “We booked Olly because he promised shots where he focused less on the traditional and formal portrait & group pictures, but more on the spirit of the day, interaction between people and the mix of fun and laughter. His friendly and relaxed personality meant it was a pleasure having him around on our big day, he really delivered on his promise, and we now have a beautiful collection of photos that we’ll treasure forever! Thank you again! Carly and Tom x”
Liam & Alison got married at Kent Life on a Friday in July 2013! Alison was one of the nicest Brides ever- always asking everyone else how they were doing and offering drinks to people! The total opposite of a Bridezilla! The couple designed all their own wedding stationery & wanted pics that captured their quirky side! Shortly after Liam jumped out the back of a wagon I remembered he was going in for an operation on his hip on the Monday… I’ve heard the op went well (phew!) Liam txt me this lovely review “We’d thoroughly recommend Olly to any couples looking for a top draw wedding photographer. He managed to capture all manner of emotions in his beautiful pictures and despite spending the entire day with us at times we barley noticed he was there. He’s friendly, considerate, flexible and above all professional. Thanks again Olly!”
Here are the best pics from Neal & Dee’s wedding at Kent Life Village Hall. I loved the vintage invites, Dee’s beautiful dress, Neal’s pocket watch and all the thought that the couple put into the day. I ate two tubs of simply ice cream whilst the meal was going on. I think I had a sugar rush for the rest of the day! Neal emailed me this after they’d received their pics “Olly is an absolute star and was a pleasure to have at our wedding. He certainly has a skill in capturing great photo’s without you even knowing he is there. He’ll get snaps of things you won’t even remember! All of our guests have said how brilliant our photos are and how Olly totally summed up the feel of the day for us all: one full of laughter, family, good friends and fun.”
