George & Harry’s Wedding in Whitstable

George & Harry got married in Whitstable. I’d photographed one of Harry’s friends before and when George and Harry came to meet me we really hit it off. On the wedding day I spent the morning with the girls and Lauren who second shot for me spent some time with the chaps at the venue. I hadn’t been to East Quay for four years until this year and now in 2019 I’ve photographed my fourth wedding there! I usually don’t love photographing a lot at the same place but when you’ve got the beach on your doorstep, cool decor inside and amazing food and space to party in the evening I couldn’t really refuse could I!? I really loved going in the camper van for a drive around after the ceremony (shout out to Laurence who looks much younger than his age!) and I also really appreciated the speeches! I could tell things were getting emotional whenever Harry reached for her sunglasses (in fact for most of George’s speech she wore the sunglasses) there were many tears! A truly sweet couple, really down to earth and genuine. It was such a pleasure to photograph them! Harry said…

“Oh my goodness. Choosing the right words for this review are hard. Not only did we have by far the best photographer at our wedding, but a good friend! We only met Olly twice before the big day, but it’s safe to say he felt like one of us from our first meet. He put us at ease from day one, which to us was so important given that we both get awkward when we see a camera! Half the time on the day we didn’t realise Olly was even taking pictures!! It really was like having one of our good friends at our wedding, who just so happened to be awesome at photography!! We got home from honeymoon at 8pm last night. We said to ourselves that we would just watch the slideshow and then go to bed. Well, we watched the slideshow 3 times and the photos twice!! We love them so so so much!! Thank you so much for capturing the day so perfectly. Every photo we looked at I said, “this is one of my favourite ones” lol!! But honestly, thank you so so so much, we couldn’t be happier! xx”
