East Quay Wedding Photographer

It was amazing to be at East Quay as Mike & Lucy’s Wedding Photographer! After a few years of not shooting there I’m photographing a few weddings at East Quay in 2019. I love the seaside location in Whitstable, the food is incredible and the window light in the ceremony room is killer. I photographed Lucy’s Sister’s wedding back in 2014 and I was so pleased when Lucy got in touch and asked me to photograph her wedding too. This day had beautiful sun even though it was in March and Lucy didn’t stop smiling and laughing the whole day. I loved the flowers in her hair (the flower girl also had a garland and forced me to wear it on my head whilst she took a picture…I preferred it on them…) The girls got ready at Hotel Continental and walked along the sea front to East Quay and there were lots of sweet moments between Mike and their little Son Leo as they were waiting for Lucy to walk down the aisle. I really felt like I could photograph moments at this wedding without people being camera aware which is a huge plus for me and I really enjoyed the confetti and dancing. I’m so pleased to show you my favourite images from Mike & Lucy’s wedding day and if you’re getting married at East Quay and want natural and unposed photos get in touch!

Lucy said “I first met Olly back in 2014 when he photographed my Sister’s wedding. He did such an amazing job capturing the day and the photos were mind blowing. When Mike popped the question I knew that there was only ever going to be one person for the job, the brilliant Olly Knight. Olly is an unbelievable human being,  he’s everything you would ever wish for in a Photographer and a human, he’s genuine and passionate with such a kind presence about him. Our photos are breathtaking, the day was captured beautifully, I can’t wait to spam every wall in our house with the prints.”

All of the moments, none of the fuss
