Dominic & Jodie’s Wedding Film

Dominic & Jodie got married on 29th August 2020. After photographing close to 250 weddings this is the first wedding that I’ve filmed! Jodie got ready with her Mum, Sister and Bridesmaids at her house in Whitfield. There was a lovely atmosphere and her Dad’s words when he saw her “is this my little girl?” really choked me! They had their ceremony at St Andrews Church in Shepherdswell. Dominic and Jodie had to adapt their wedding to fit in with covid restrictions so there were less guests but there was still a real sense of celebration. The confetti tunnel was great! They had a small marquee and a BBQ at Reynolds Farm House in Chislet. They’d hired the place for the weekend so that people could join them for food after the ceremony.

I filmed this wedding alongside my good friend James Richard who took the photos. The best part of the day was working together with him during Dominic & Jodie’s couple time. The setting of the trees, stream and fields was beautiful. Dominic & Jodie were always smiling, really sweet around each other and were a pleasure to film. I loved this experience so much that I’m going to start filming a few weddings each year alongside my photography work. I see my weddings films fitting in with the style that I’ve always photographed in- documentary, unposed and cinematic. The music is an original piece that I wrote and recorded for this film. I hope you like it!

“Dom and I booked our wedding fairly last minute due to changes with government guidelines and COVID. Olly was a wonderful part of the day, he chatted with our guests and blended in excellently; we very quickly forgot he was there with his camera! The communication with him before, during and after was faultless. Such a lovely person who added to the atmosphere of the day. Both Dom and I were absolutely thrilled when we received the video of our wedding day. Olly went above and beyond by writing and recording a soundtrack to accompany it & it’s simply beautiful. He perfectly captured the most special parts of the day and put them together in a wonderful way. We really can’t recommend him enough.”
