Over the last few years I’ve been working as a destination wedding photographer as well as photographing Kent and UK weddings. I love travelling to different places, I love experiencing different cultures, eating different food, seeing different architecture and photographing in different settings. Not many destination wedding photographers will offer documentary, unposed and unobtrusive coverage of your wedding day like I will. Watch the video to see my approach to photographing destination weddings…

JAMES & TINA- ROME

James & Tina got married at Borgo di Tragliata in Rome and it was one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to! I didn’t leave the dance floor until 1.30am- that’s how good the day was. James said “The images are absolutely stunning. He caught absolutely every little event throughout the day and you would never guess the two of us are awkward in front of the camera! We highly recommend Olly and can’t thank him enough for the pictures that we will have forever and for adding to the experience that we will never forget!” See more of their images here.

SIMON & HEATHER- BORDEAUX

Simon & Heather chose to get married at the beautiful Chateau de Lerse near Bordeaux in the South West of France and I was honoured to be able to join them! Heather said “Wow what a fantastic wedding photographer Olly is! We are so pleased with our photos…he perfectly captured our day with all the best moments and made us (who normally hate being in front of a camera) feel relaxed. We also really valued our meetings with Olly before the wedding to get to know him and all the advice he gave us too. Couldn’t be happier with our decision to chose Olly.” See more of their images here.

ANTONIO & CHLOE – TUSCANY

Antonio & Chloe had their wedding at Tenuta Di Sticciano in Tuscany and it was well worth the trip out for! I thought I’d brought the UK weather out with me as there were storms on the wedding morning and it was touch and go as to whether the day could go ahead outdoors as had been planned. Thankfully the rain stopped, the outdoor ceremony went ahead and we got some amazing Tuscan light in the evening too. “We can’t thank Olly enough for how he has documented our wedding day capturing our most special friends and family, seeing their natural smiles, laughs, tears and dance moves” See more here.

DJORDJE & BETHAN – SERBIA

It was an honour going to Belgrade, Serbia to photograph Djordje & Bethan’s wedding. We had to get through riot police to get to the ceremony, there was a beautiful sunset over Kalemegdan Fort overlooking Belgrade and a Serbian brass band came in the evening and the party kicked of! Bethan said “Wow! We knew the photos were going to be good after seeing the photos he took at our friends wedding but we have been blown away by how incredible they are. Olly felt like part of the family and so many of our guests have raved about how cool our photographer was. We really feel like we have found a truly wonderful friend.” Click here to see more images.

JACK & SOPHIE – TUSCANY

My first wedding in Tuscany, Italy was a dream to be part of. The ceremony was at the top of a hill at Certaldo Town Hall. It was 36c for most of the day so we were all pretty hot(!!) It was amazing in the evening as everyone was dancing in the rain in the courtyard of the Castle! Sophie said “Olly was an absolutely amazing photographer for our wedding. We didn’t even notice him but the photos he took were amazing and really captured her day. Olly has a clear passion for photography and is great to be around, which made us both feel very relaxed. We literally love the photos so much. We would recommend him to everyone!!!” Click here to see more images.

FABI & CHARLY – GERMANY

I photographed Fabi & Charly’s proposal at the Millennium Bridge in 2019 and then they invited me to Germany to photograph their wedding in Bochum in 2020! There was real emotion during their first look and such a good dance floor the Groom split his trousers! Fabi said “There are so many brilliant photos you took. We love them! Your work is so fantastic! All our guests told us that they had so much fun with you! Once again- we are so happy that you photographed our wedding!” Click here to see more images.

You’ve seen some of my overseas work but why take me with you to your overseas wedding? The first reason is style. A Bride and Groom want a photographer who’s work they really like. I work as a documentary wedding photographer in a very unposed, natural way. In some parts of the world you won’t get photographers with this particular style, it’ll be more posed. The second reason is communication. If your photographer is based in the same country as you then you can meet them before the wedding in person to get a feel for what they are like and you can communicate with them on the day with no language barrier. My rates for destination weddings aren’t usually much more than my UK rates but I do ask for my transport and accommodation to be covered. If you are getting married abroad and are interested in having me to do your wedding photography then please email me with the date and location.

All of the moments, none of the fuss
