Chris & Emma’s Wedding at St Michael & All Angels in Kingsnorth
Chris & Emma had their wedding at St Michael & All Angels Church in Kingsnorth and their reception at Petham Village Hall. This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever had the privilege of covering! Chris and Emma both competed in an Ironman Triathlon in Austria the weekend before they got married (not the usual way to prepare for a wedding!) Their wedding made lots of references to this mutual passion of theirs through the decor they chose and in the speeches. I’d never photographed a Bride doing press ups or flexing her muscles before I photographed this wedding! Well done Emma! In the ceremony the “Monkey & Chicken” poem which had been written for the couple produced lots of great moments and the dance floor in the evening was a lot of fun to be in the midst of! My personal highlight were their couple pictures in the afternoon. We went for a stroll through some amazing rolling hills near Petham and Chris and Emma were so at ease around each other and around me. They really made each other laugh and I was so grateful I could be part of their day. I hope you like this selection of some of my favourite images.
Chris & Emma sent me a thank you card with my images of their wedding on the front and said”Dear Olly, Just a little note to say thank you for being such a wonderful wedding photographer. You are a very friendly and relaxed character who takes very good pictures. Emma and I felt like we had a guest at our wedding who was handy with a camera as opposed to some weddings where the photographer wants to run the show. Thank you so very much. Everyone has raved about the pics! Love from Chris and Emma x”. I also received this encouraging email from Chris’ Father who was also conducting the ceremony “Congratulations on a superb set of photos. Thank you for your professionalism in church (I have done many weddings and sad to say not all photographers are so professional) you will be welcome at Kingsnorth anytime.”
