Mark & Lily had their wedding at Lympne Castle in Kent complete with a Chinese Tea Ceremony. Their wedding was a real mix of cultures with many family members making the trip over to the UK from China and from America. There were also lots of their friends from University who came from all over the world. One of my favourite moments was when there was a traditional Chinese toast after the speeches. In England we politely and quietly raise our champagne glasses but this Chinese toast “Yum Seng” was so much better! Everyone has to shout “YUUUUUUM SENG” at the top of their voices three times. I love the pictures of the enthusiastic Uncle leading everyone in this. Their Chinese Tea Ceremony was after this in the evening and relatives would be given Chinese tea by the Bride and Groom and then the Bride and Groom would then receive tea and presents from other family members. It was brilliant to capture as I’d never seen this at a wedding before. Enjoy my favourite shots from this day.
