Allington Castle Wedding Photography
David & Amy got married at the stunning Allington Castle in Kent. Guests took a Route-master Bus from Hadlow Manor Hotel over to the Castle in the morning and there was a great atmosphere on the bus. Amy is from the USA and lots of her family and friends came over for the wedding. Allington Castle flew the UK and USA flags on the castle mast for the whole day to celebrate the wedding. When I took David & Amy for their couple pictures in the afternoon we were spoilt for choice for places to walk around. As well as the castle moat there were gardens/ outhouses and wells to explore. This was such a good wedding to photograph, David & Amy were delightful to be around and they didn’t stop smiling all day.
Amy emailed me to say “It was such a nice surprise to come home and have the flash drive you sent us waiting in the post box! I wasn’t expecting to see any pictures for at least a month or two; David and I are both really impressed with how quickly you work. All of the pictures are absolutely gorgeous and we’re both so excited that you were able to get so many. It’s so great to be able to relive the day by going through all of them and to be able to see some of the moments with our friends and family that we we missed (and it was fun to try and pick out who had damp eyes during the ceremony and speeches too). The presentation of the flash drive was a nice touch too. We were also both really impressed with you and James; you’re both so good at what you do and for most of the shots we didn’t even realise you were there taking them. David and I also really enjoyed the little walk through the castle grounds; it would have been easy for that to have been awkward and formal but it was really relaxed and comfortable and you got some really good shots from it. We’re both super pleased with how everything came out and your pictures couldn’t be more perfect! Thanks so much, Amy and David”
