Quex Park Wedding Photography

Quex Park is somewhere that I’ve visited with my family before but I’d never been to Quex Park to do wedding photography until Scott & Bex’s wedding. Quex Park is a lovely setting with an outdoor patio area with the gazebo that many people get married in. There’s also the mansion there and a museum that guests can look around. It’s a really interesting venue with lots of good backdrops for photographs. Scott & Bex were a really fun couple and being “Friday Night Dinner” fans the first thing that Bex said to Scott when she walked down the aisle was “Shalom” quoting Jim (which I loved being a fan myself). When the Registrar accidentally referred to Bex as the Husband everyone howled with laughter. Scott & Bex’s dog Rosie was there and didn’t appreciate it when everyone clapped and laughed but did appreciate having lots of cuddles and kisses with her newly married owners. There was beautiful Autumn sunshine for lots of the day and I think the speeches produced some of the best moments of the day. I loved how relaxed and fun Scott & Bex were to be around and to photograph. Here are a selection of my favourite images from the day.

Bex said “Our wedding day was perfect and we were so sad when it ended, but Olly captured our day beautifully so we can always look back and remember it. Me and Scott knew from the start that we didnt want posed photos at our wedding, we didn’t want to take time away from the day to pose for photos that ultimately we wouldn’t end up liking as we get very awkward when we know a camera is pointed at us. We found Olly by simply typing ‘documentary style photographer’ into Google. And once we had contacted him he invited us over to his house to have a chat and honestly we couldnt of picked a nicer guy. We talked about exactly what we wanted captured and how. We barely noticed Olly was taking pictures of us as it was just like having another friend at the wedding and the guests came up to us telling us what a nice guy he was, he managed to make everyone feel so comfortable around him that they were completely themselves and I feel because of this Olly really captured the personalities of my family in these photos. We will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives, thank you so so much Olly we can’t wait to have you over for dinner xxx”

All of the moments, none of the fuss
