Sam & Emmy had their wedding at Soul Survivor Church in Watford. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Sam through playing music together over the last few years and it’s such a pleasure when you’re asked to photograph a wedding of a good friend. It was a delight to get to know Emmy too and there were some lovely moments at her house in the morning with her Nieces and the rest of her family as she got ready. At Soul Survivor Church there was a band that played brilliantly during the ceremony and the whole of Emmy’s Primary School class came to see their Teacher get married. The kids were waving love hearts in the air during the songs which was very cute! They had their reception at Missenden Abbey and my highlight of the day was when Sam & Emmy were wandering around the grounds and both of them were singing a song that Sam had made up about Emmy being his Wife- so cute!! To read more of Sam’s songwriting skills see his review (below). Sam put the function band in the evening together using friends that play professionally. It had to be the smallest dance floor I’ve come across but with the best music to dance to! I loved being Sam & Emmy’s photographer and I don’t think I’ll work for many more smiley and sweet couples!
Sam left me this poetically written review “Thanks so much Olly for being there to capture the most special moments of our wedding day! You took the time time to understand what we were after and on the day you were both a talented photographer and such an encouraging friend. Thanks for laughing with us and for giving us great memories which we’ll keep forever. When others ask us about wedding photography, we’ll be sure to answer…Olly Knight, always right, worked from morning till night with all of his might, was breezy and light, not a bad photo in sight! Love Amelia & Sam”
