My first time to Chapel House Estate was for Chris & Megan’s wedding and I don’t think I’ve known a wedding with this much energy and fun! Chapel House had many different areas where each part of the wedding day was held like the prep room in the house, the drinks and canapés area and the evening out on the drinks terrace. These two had the best day, they were free to be themselves and I loved that they did it their way. I can’t really summarise it all in a few sentences but there were moments that made me laugh- their entrance into their meal with Megan coming in then Chris following on a scooter (he’d ruptured his Achilles tendon a month before the wedding- poor chap) and “Where is my Husband” playing. Another moment- Megan grabbing the mic during the meal, getting up on a chair and singing “Do you believe in life after love” with all her girls cheering her on like she was real life Cher. There were moments where I cried too- Chris’ speech packed full of life affirming words about his Bride like how Megan’s ADHD isn’t a negative but it’s a superpower (Megan is so creative and designed all their signs and stationary and decor herself!) Another teary moment was when Megan’s Daughter Mia gave such a confident speech (she’s only 12 but rocked it) I’ll never forget this one!
