Tom & Jen’s Wedding at St Mary Bredin in Canterbury

Tom & Jen had their wedding at St Mary Bredin Church in Canterbury. This was a really special wedding for me to photograph as Jen is a photographer herself and has been assisting me at lots of weddings over the past couple of years. As Jen is a friend it made the getting ready stage really fun and relaxed. She had lovely hair and make up girls so we all had a giggle. I created the game “guess the camera settings” which I got Jen to play at intervals during the day (I’m such a geek). Downstairs it was hotter than the sun as everyone was eating and getting ready in a huge room with a glass ceiling (and it was a very hot day!) Jen’s Dad did well to cook a fry up in the heat! A special moment was when Jen’s Dad was waiting to see Jen in her dress and I caught the moment of him waiting on the stairs and her waiting upstairs. James was with the boys as they got ready (some of the photos beneath are his). The ceremony was really lively and as Tom and Jen are both singers they joined in with the worship band for the final song. They had their reception at Petham Village Hall and my house is en route between the Church and hall AND the field opposite my house had corn in it AND as it was a hot day a pint of water seemed like a good option so piecing together those benefits we stopped off at mine and Tom & Jen had a wander in the corn field. It was brilliant seeing the neighbours all out congratulating them! I loved this day and couldn’t tear myself away so stayed for lots of the dancing. Here are a few of my favourite pics.
