Tom & Gin’s Wedding at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire

Stowe School in Buckinghamshire was a stunning venue for Tom & Gin’s wedding in August 2014. Stowe School is a private school set in many acres of land which has temples, beautiful bridges and archways- a photographer’s dream! The main building has pillars which lead to the main doors and a marble hall and dining hall inside. The grounds are now used as a national trust venue too. Tom & Gin chose to get married here as Tom’s Father teaches at the school. I spent the morning with Gin and the girls getting ready down the road and then went to the Chapel at Stowe School for the ceremony. There was a band that played during the ceremony as well as the more traditional organ, it was a great atmosphere and the flower girls were dancing away at the front of the Chapel! Tom & Gin didn’t stop smiling all day, they were amazing to spend the day with and made James and I feel very welcome. This wedding had the biggest group shot I’ve ever had to do (400 people) I felt like I needed a mega-phone! The wedding also had one of my favourite moments- the sun was just about to set and a beautiful golden light was flooding the pillars at the front of the school. Tom and Gin took a walk there and the photos were some of my favourites I’ve taken! It’s weddings like this that make me feel incredibly privileged to do what I do. I hope you enjoy the highlights from the day…

Tom & Gin sent through this lovely email after seeing the pictures…

“I am more than happy to say that both Olly and James were a total delight to have as photographers at our wedding. They were kind, courteous and a joy to have around. I had James at the house where I was getting ready and he was discreet and just took wonderful shots of everything that was going on around him. Gin had Olly at her house and was delighted with the reportage style shots that Olly took, which really captured the atmosphere of the morning.

At the wedding Olly was so relaxed and flexible to go with whatever came up on the day. He struck up a great relationship with everyone in the wedding party and people instantly felt comfortable around him. They were both very discreet during the wedding service and you would hardly have noticed them as they shot the service from all sorts of angles.

Olly was very flexible with the timings for the day, shooting some wonderful shots of Gin and I in the beautiful grounds of Stowe. Allowing for Gin and I to enjoy time together but being confident that Olly was shooting some amazing stuff as we enjoyed our selves.

It was a wonderful moment getting back from honeymoon, having the wonderfully edited photos arrive promptly as Olly had said they would, and they exceeded all our already high expectations. They came on a beautifully personalised memory stick and the photo’s themselves had been beautifully finished. Gin and I were both more than satisfied with the quality, number and variety of photo’s that were available. There was a variety of both black and white and colour, which was just what we wanted.

Over all we have been 100% satisfied with both Olly and James and the wonderful service that they provided for our wedding day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked. I was impressed with their ability to cope with a wedding for about 450 people!

Much love,

Tom & Gin”
