Lex & Amy had their Christmas wedding at Chilham Village Hall on 22nd December! I spent some time with the boys then the girls as they got ready at The Woolpack down the road in Chilham. My favourite part of the day was Lex & Amy’s first look. I’ve never covered one of these before. Bride and Grooms do this a lot in America but it’s catching on in the UK now. I felt very privileged being able to document their first look and it was a gorgeous setting with candles glowing in the background as the couple embraced. Another thing that really struck me from this wedding was just how brilliant the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen were. Sometimes these roles are more sentimental or ceremonial but these Bridesmaids and Groomsmen were on hand to set things up, direct people and help Lex and Amy all day! It was a brilliant team effort. There was a penguin theme to the wedding as Lex and Amy both love them and during Lex’s speech he spoke about how the male penguin would give the female penguin a stone to keep forever as a sign of his commitment to her. He gave Amy a stone and lots of people started clapping and cheering at the end of Lex’s speech and gave him a standing ovation.
