Ed & Anna’s Wedding at St George’s Church in Benenden

Ed & Anna had their wedding at St George’s Church in Benenden, Kent. I spent the morning with the girls at Anna’s Parent’s beautiful farmhouse. I had serious house envy here (!!) It was in such an idyllic setting and would be used for the marquee reception in the afternoon too. I was so pleased with how relaxed Anna was- we even had time to chat and laugh as there wasn’t any need for the girls to rush about. James spent the morning with the chaps who watched England play Rugby on the TV (England later played Cricket in the afternoon AND football in the evening). As I arrived at St George’s Church Anna’s Uncle was launching a drone into the air to capture the day from above. Her Uncle only happened to be head of photography for The Sun (no pressure on me then!) but he was charming and good for banter which made me feel relaxed again! In the afternoon we all headed back to Anna’s Parent’s house and we started to see black clouds come overhead. Ed & Anna had a stroll around the field and immediately afterwards the heavens opened. There’s torrential rain then there was this rain. It came so fast and with such force guests ran into the marquee, some tried to close the sides of the marquee whilst getting drenched and wellies were needed for anyone who needed to get anywhere. I’ve never been at a wedding where the weather’s turned so quickly before! I loved the fact that Ed and Anna took it in their stride. They didn’t complain about it, they just embraced it and continued to enjoy the day. In the evening my other favourite moment was when the family dog invaded the dance floor for Ed & Anna’s first dance. This was a first for me too! I hope you enjoy my favourite pictures from the day.

All of the moments, none of the fuss
