Chris & Charlie had their wedding at St Augustine’s in Westgate on Sea, Kent. I met Chris & Charlie over a coffee in Canterbury last year and loved the sound of what they wanted for their wedding. They’d chosen all local suppliers to Canterbury, it was important for them to know and have a real connection with the people that would be involved in their day. I thought this was great! I enjoyed covering the day with Andrew from BBV videos. St Augustine’s has an incredible Chapel and that’s where Chris & Charlie had their ceremony. The first half of it was the legal side with a registrar and the second half was with a Preist and had a reading and a song. One of the things that I loved about this day were the kids. I got a few shots of them grabbing family member’s faces during the drinks reception and they even climbed up into the pulpit for the first dance making faces! Another thing I loved was Chris performing magic for the guests during the meal. He even performed an illusion on me! During the speeches it was so obvious that Chris & Charlie were so happy to be together- there were many looks at each other, little tugs on each other’s hands and it always gives me real pleasure working for a couple who are so relaxed around each other and so obviously in love. The dancing in the evening, back at the Chapel, was beautifully lit and summed up the day to me- beautiful setting and fun people! Enjoy having a look through some of my favourite shots from the day.
